Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2, 2026
These are the rules for using Uvofy: what we provide, what we expect from you, and what happens if either of us wants to stop.
Accepting these terms
Using Uvofy means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.
They are an agreement between you and Uvofy.com, 19 Heathmans Road, Fulham, London, SW6 4TJ, United Kingdom.
Who can use Uvofy
You need an account to host a session, and you must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live.
If you sign up on behalf of an organisation, you are telling us you may accept these terms for it.
Your audience needs no account. Anyone holding a join code can take part.
Your account
Sign-in is passwordless. We email a six-digit code to your address, which makes your email account the key to your Uvofy account. Keep it secure.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@uvofy.com if you think someone else has got into it.
Running a session
Your questions, your options and anything you put on a screen are yours, and so is responsibility for them — what a room sees, and what you do afterwards with the results.
You are also responsible for how you use the product with your own audience: whether you ask for names, what you tell people about it, and any rules your organisation or your regulator puts on you.
Q&A and open-text questions put your audience's own words on your screen. Decide whether that suits the room before you run one.
Taking part in a session
Participants join from a browser with a code or a QR. No account, no app, no email address.
Their answers are anonymous and stay that way. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly how.
Joining a session also means accepting these terms, so far as they apply to a participant.
Plans, pricing and billing
There is a free plan and a paid plan. What each costs and what each includes are on the pricing page, which is always the current version. The numbers are not repeated here, because they can change and this page would go stale.
Paid plans are billed monthly in pounds sterling through Stripe. Manage or cancel your subscription in the Stripe billing portal, linked from your account page.
Plan limits are checked when you start a session and at no other moment. A session already in front of an audience is never cut off part way through, even if it goes past your plan's limit. That is deliberate, and it is not a mistake we intend to fix.
We can change prices, plans and limits. Changes appear on the pricing page, and we will give notice of a change to what you already pay.
Acceptable use
Do not use Uvofy to break the law, to harass anyone, or to target a real person through anonymous Q&A or open text.
Do not try to defeat the anonymity design. No scraping, and no attempt to work out who gave which answer.
Do not try to disrupt the service, or to reach accounts and sessions that are not yours.
Your content and ours
Your questions, your options and your results stay yours. We claim no ownership of them.
To run a session we need permission to store what you write and show it to the people you invite — on their phones, on your presenter screen, and on a recap link if you share one. That permission lasts while we host it for you, and covers nothing else.
The software, the design and the Uvofy name are ours. Using the product gives you no rights to them.
Availability and changes
Uvofy is provided as is. We take reasonable care to keep it running, and we do not promise a level of uptime. There is no service level agreement.
Features change. We may add, alter or remove them, including on a plan you are already using.
Suspension and closing an account
You can stop using Uvofy whenever you like, and ask us at support@uvofy.com to close your account and delete your data.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will say why first.
Liability
We do not promise that Uvofy will suit a particular purpose, or that it will be free of faults.
We are not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect losses arising from your use of the service.
Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, this does not remove rights you hold under the law of the country you live in.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we update the date at the top of this page. Carrying on with Uvofy after that means accepting the new version.
There is no email notification for a change to this page.
